M ~ Triplicate

This charcoal sweater is embellished with a space scene, clouds, and 3 stars. The red is madder root and iron, the space panels are dyed with weld, madder, and indigo, with onion skin clouds. A small repair has been sewn into the bottom hem with indigo thread. Three is a sacred triad in many spiritual practices. Long before the christians migrated into northern Europe, the Druids' Ternary was Knowledge, Peace, and Power. The three was about finding the middle ground between the binary and letting thoughts and actions go beyond two opposites. In buddhism this could represent the middle path. 

 21“ wide  under arms x 23“ long from center of collar to hem. Fits like a roomy medium size, or a slim fit large.  The charcoal color is the original synthetic color, undyed by my processes. This sweater is a synthetic material, not cotton.

NOTE ON FIT ~ These new pieces with patchwork on the front do not stretch in the area the patchwork is sewn on, so it’s ideal to wear them less as a fitted sweater and more as a loose fitted style. If you are considering two different sizes, go for the bigger size. Width under arms is quoted with each item.

Variations and beautiful imperfections exist as clothing/fabric is locally sourced second hand, botanical dyes are ethically sourced, plastic free, safe for skin, and biodegradable. Block prints are hand carved and printed with water based ink one at a time.  Hand wash inside out or wash on a delicate machine cycle in cold water with gentle soap. Hang dry or tumble on low. Iron if needed.
