Colorado moon pieces are printed with an original stencil design using biodegradable iron based ink and bundle dyed with locally grown in Denver, marigolds and buckthorn berries. Each item is prepared in a way to bring out dynamic, living plant pigments.
The artwork design was inspired by seeing the moon rise each night while I was in Crestone this past October and enjoying the changing of the seasons in the steep foothills of the mountains of the San Luis Valley.
10% of the sales of these items will be donated to the Ute Land trust.
