XL ~ New Moon in Space

One of my favorite all time pieces so far, this lightweight cotton hoodie started as a plain purple synthetic color. I scoured and dyed it with madder, painted with bleach, then added patchwork dyed in indigo, madder root, and iron, finishing with indigo embroidery. 4 stars are sewn into the sky representing the four directions, the four elements, the four seasons.

NOTE ON FIT ~ These new pieces with patchwork on the front do not stretch in the area the patchwork is sewn on, so it’s ideal to wear them less as a fitted sweater and more as a loose fitted style. If you are considering two different sizes, go for the bigger size. Width under arms is quoted with each item.

Variations and beautiful imperfections exist as clothing/fabric is locally sourced second hand, botanical dyes are ethically sourced, plastic free, safe for skin, and biodegradable. Block prints are hand carved and printed with water based ink one at a time.  Hand wash inside out or wash on a delicate machine cycle in cold water with gentle soap. Hang dry or tumble on low. Iron if needed.
