Dancers Printed Bandana
Hand printed one at a time with iron oxide ink and tannins before dyeing. BEqually useful as a neck scarf, hung on a wall, over an alter, table top, or as a face mask (not in place of a medical mask). Each bandana is a little different. The print is visible on both sides of bandana. Imperfections exist and are a part of the process of making by hand.
Cochineal is used here and is a scale insect from Mexico.
20” x 20” Single layer cotton. Made from 100% repurposed cotton. Hand wash in cold water, hang dry. Ironing is ok. All natural and biodegradable materials. Made in Colorado, USA. Colors I do not sustainably forage for I source ethically from Botanical Colors in Seattle.
A note on skin sensitivity: We use only biodegradable, non-toxic, planet safe soaps and fabric softeners to make sure our fabrics are safe for all skin types (our favorite is 7th generation products). Items soften with time and use. While it is very rare, some people find mullein irritating to the skin. Our other plant dyes have almost no record of allergies but do please make sure you are not allergic to any of these plants before using our textiles on your own skin.
